Exploration, development and production operations
The monetary valuation of extractive resources (taxes, fees, rights, bonuses and royalties)
Management and use of revenues from extractive resources for sustainable development
  • Principles, methods and perspectives on environmental, social and health impact assessment (ESHIA) for projects aimed at sustainable development

The training will cover key process requirements, approaches and trends, including the integration of national and international guidelines. Case studies and interactive exercises will demonstrate lessons learned, best practices and strategic approaches.

  • Local content

Participants will gain an understanding of the concept of local content in the context of extractive industries through case studies and interactive exercises to demonstrate lessons learned best practices and strategic approaches.

  • Environmental and social performance requirements

Participants will acquire and/or strengthen their understanding of the main components of “environmental and social performance” in the context of project implementation, through lectures, case studies and interactive exercises to demonstrate lessons learned best practices and strategic approaches.

Particular emphasis are placed on the methods and processes for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the environmental and social management plan (ESMP), compliance with the social and environmental performance standards of international financial institutions, particularly those of the group of the World Bank, the Equator Principles and others.
